This is one of those albums that contains more hit singles than most and yet as an album it simply doesn't work. As far as the sound quality goes though this one is very good. I'm very familiar with the material but I cannot recall it ever sounding this good before. IT has a very analogue / non-digital sound to it. Voices have plenty of texture and body, and each instrument is well separated and easy to follow within the mix. The drums in particular have a real snap to them which helps drive songs like Uptown Girl and Tell Her about it.
Fans of the album will not have heard a better sounding digital version and will be very happy if they buy it.
For non fans it's still worth buying just based on sound quality alone.
For a comparison I prefer Glass Houses as an album but sound quality wise this release of Innocent Man is a lot better than the MoFi Glass Houses is.
