Never owned the original CD's. However comparing the individual tracks from various original CD's , they sound much improved. While I've never been a great fan of greatest hits compilations, this is a very good set. Sonically much improved.

This Audio Fidelity disc contains the best digital masterings for most of these songs. They are the vintage mixes found on the orig. LP's. The MFSL SACD's are hit or miss partially due to some of them using remixed source tapes.

Audio Fidelity should go back and remaster Greatest Hits Vol. I on SACD but I doubt licensing the title again would be feasible.
