Performance: Sonics: |
I have to disagree that this Mobile Fidelity release is worth buying. It is not.
I'll gladly pay a premium price for a music record with better sonics. This Allman Brothers recording does not have better sonics. As noted, this is the fault of the original recording engineer and the techniques he used.
Of course, the Allman Brothers are a worthwhile band, but why pay $30 for a SACD disc when I can get roughly the same sound quality from a recycled $1 vinyl album from Goodwill?
This is another example of some record companies charging more for content when there is no improvement in sound quality. The original Norah Jones album is another specific. Such dishonesty further drives down sales.
Buyer beware!
