Mighty Sam McClain is probably one of the most under rated blues / soul singers around. When he sings it comes from his heart and soul. You can feel his emotion as he sings each and every cut on this album. You will feel his joy and his pain such is his skill with his voice! He puts such power and emotion into each and every song.
As for the sound quality, it is right up there with the best SACD in my collection. Great bass, mids and highs, lots of air, beautiful tone and lots of depth and width to the sound stage. The only quibble I have is that some of the instruments are too recessed, but the most important instrument, Mighty Sam's Voice is loud and clear!
This is my third SACD by MSM. All are highly recommended!
