Valery Gergiev's Tchaikovsky cycle with London Symphony Orchestra is good. First Symphony "Winter Daydreams" is this set's best performance. Third movement's tempi are fast, and last movement's coda is also fast, much better than Vladimir Jurowski's live performance (LPO). Second Symphony's performances is good, but my own favorite is Mikhail Pletnev's recording with Russian National Orchestra (Pentatone). Unfortunately, Third Symphony's performance is disappointment: Gergiev's tempi are slow, specially in symphony's finale. By the way, this is good recording, if you want good SACD recording of Tchaikovsky's First Symphony.
