Performance: Sonics:
Picked up both Gram Parsons SACD's and the sound is much warmer then the current remasters. Unfortunately the vocals were not recorded the best so the distortion on the remasters are the same on SACDs. The albums themselves are great. They are country records more then rock. Where as Band's like The Band created a hybrid by melding styles Parsons records are pretty well straight country. I know 31/2 stars for sonics is kind of low but it really isn't a bad master for the SACD it's just that the record was recorded that way. If you are a fan of this album I think you will agree this is the best version to date.
