Just to add on to Adrian's comparison to the Dora Schwarzberg/Polina Leschenko recording, I can say that this BIS disc has vastly superior sound. Schwarzberg's has very little width, depth, or ambiance (in fact, through headphones, it almost sounds like it's mono!), plus Wallin has much better tone. Schwarzberg's is often very harsh and shrill to the point that I find her hard to listen to. She and her partner may play faster at times than Wallin/Pontinen do, but I don't think the latter sounds less dramatic. For the long haul the BIS recording is far more rewarding musically and certainly sonically.
