I guess I just can't agree with the above review by 'Castor'. Yes, this is very good performance and the sound is also very good. However, I don't like the use of natural horns and narrow bore trombones - they're too weak and don't project enough sound. Overall, the brass is too suppressed, resulting in too much of a "wash" sound with the strings and other sections of the orchestra. I also don't like the very short hold of the last chord of the fourth movement. It's too abrupt, and just doesn't sound or feel right to me.
On the other hand, the Five German Dances are an absolute delight and excellently recorded, so 4.5 stars for performance and sound for them.
