MY Review in German (cause I'm from Austria)
Klavierkonzerts. Aufnahmen stammen aus dem Jahre 2006.
Now I try to write the review in English:
First of all, the concerts were recorded in Germany (but not available in Germany, Austria, Europe?). The Perfomance of the concerts are excellent. I have already about 20 versions of these concerts, so I couldn't hardly imagine that this would be a recording, which could add a new light in interpretation. But I was deeply surprised, that Järvi/Nakamichi could do so. The Recording offers a (very) lyrical approach in the 2nd movements of concertos No.1 + 2.Nakamichi gets enough time to develope the concerts in the lyrical movments. On the other side, Järvi and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie play in a "period-instrument" style.
Will say: The tempis are swift, but not exaggerated.
In this way the orchestra sounds very detailed. The stereo sonic is a five star rating, the perfomance too. I can't hear multichannel.
I think, this SACD will become one of my favourite recording of these concerts.
Concert No.4 is in the same league.
I enjoyed these 2 Disc. It makes enormous fun to listen these 3 concertos.
Highly recommandable.
