Who would have thought that I could have ever given Mofi a bad review. Most of their titles are most excellent.
This aint one of them.

The sound on this sacd is not very good. There is only one track that is considered pretty good sounding. The rest of this transfer souds so very old.....very worn out......ancient really. The tapes must have been very worn down and listless. And downright bloody dull. No reverb...like a cocoon.

I do not blame Mobile Fidelity for this at all. The can only do so much with whatever master tapes they are using. Even with all of their vaunted and wonderful harware...even they could not make this sound very good.

Mores the pity as the music is fabulous. I cant believe I'm saying this but the old cd is so much better.

I cannot recommend this sacd.

Mobile Fidelity takes like forever to finally release a title. I've always assumed that this was to maximize the sound. I like their work. But this is a very bad release. Why they bothered doing this one in the first place puzzles me. I have MP3s that sound better. Don't waste your money on this disk.

Have to agree with the previous posters re the sonics of this disc. I also do not understand why MoFi decided to release this. Very dull sounding, except for Ray's voice which was again too much forward. I cannot compare to previous releases as this is the only release I own.
