Performance: Sonics: |
Sony hits a homerun with a great disc of the beloved 1975 broadway show "A Chorus Line". Highlighted by one of the best known ballads in "What I Did For Love", this whole disc is a treasure for those who appreciate the theatrical experience.
In multi-channel, this disc does a great job of re-creating the theater experience. The rear channels are used very subtly to just fill the room in a way that stereo can not do. The Sonics are simply stunning, one of Sony's best. The center channel is extemely active throughout and the vocals are top notch. Excellent detail. The last track, "One/Finale" is by far the most active multi-channel track, where every channel gets a workout.
