Performance: Sonics: |
A Grammy winner (but we all know that means little). I've heard this in both stereo and multichannel, and it sounds great. Tony Bennett is one of our great jazz vocalists (if you don't think he is a jazz singer, listen to "Bennett Sings Ellington"-timing, phrasing, style -the man has it all). He considers k.d.lang to be one of the greatest all-time singers-listening to her here you'd never know she made her bones in C&W. They are a great team - Bennett has a slightly rough voice, she is smooth and creamy. In a way, this reminds me of the classic Louis and Ella duet albums. Recommended without hesitation.
