At the time of each of the original releases, I remember thinking these were well crafted and elegantly produced pop records. Listening now, most of these tracks seem almost quaint given how music has changed. The chorus parts in some tracks are frequently out of tune, challenging any desire for repeated listening. Patti Austin was/is marvelous, in her numbers.
And, yes Philippe, this might have been more fun in multi-channel. ©AE
