"The Creation" was Haydn's late career's real success. Here Sir Colin Davis continued his Sacred Music Series with the oratorio. The approach was traditional, it wasn't so thrilling than René Jacobs interpretation (Harmonia Mundi). But the famous contrast - "And there was Light" - in the first part was here impressive, it is worth hearing. The 5.1 recording was wonderfully engineered. Recommend addition to your library, definitely.
