The mid-70s sound by Phillips is glowingly pleasing to my ears, typical of that period and suits this carefree masterpiece to the hilt. Moreover Pentatone RQR analogue signals were feed directly to the dcs converter for DSD-SACD encoding (just like RCA Living Stereo series), so we can have the assurance that what we hear on the SACD is essentially identical to the original analogue master.
