Performance: Sonics:
This is a lovely SACD. The recording was done excusively with custom built triode vacuum tube electronics from the get go and has been transferred over to DSD/SACD with the same amount of care with regard to the equipment used. As a consequence it sounds pretty wonderful. The Performance is pretty good too and represents something of a east meets west 'getting to know you' collaborative musical journey for Ry Cooder and V.M. Bhatt. The musical interplay between the two artists progessively improves over the course of the disk and by the end you are very disapointed when the recording finishes.
