Reviews: Blow Up - Isao Suzuki Trio Quartet

Performance:   Sonics:
I. Suzuki b & cello, K. Sugano p, G. Otsuka dr, T. Mitsuhashi b,
The Isao Suzuki records are among the best known Three Blind Mice records because of their audiophile qualities. In the past 30 years there have been made audiophile LPs, XRCDs and now the SACD. While the rest of the world mostly made over-engineered, synthetic sounding recordings in the 70`s, TBM made natural sounding records, rich of colour, with good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments to breath, dynamic and brilliant.
Here Suzuki, with his uncommon jazz instrument cello, plays a very diversified program from the elegiac Aqua Marin to bluesy parts and driving rhythms, originals and very exciting interpretations of standards like Everything Happens to Me and I Can`t Get Started attracting the listener all over the record. Like all of the TBM SACD reissued discs, it comes as a paper-sleeve edition.
