For the uninitiated lovers of acoustic guitar music. If you want experimental guitar music then this might be your thing. I, however did not enjoy this sacd very much. I have nothing against being experimental but when the music has a certain level of sameness track after track and there is no emotional interaction on my part...........well it's not enjoyable.I found the sound very recessed as well. The guitars were pushed to far back in the mix. The sound was a little sterile and cold as well. And I found this track after track. There was no diversity for me.

If you love note playing that is melodious and emotional then I would avoid the purchase of this sacd. If you enjoy a sort of disconnection and oddness in acoustic guitar playing....and a less classical approach then this might be for you.

No, this CD is not for the Sor or Bach-transcription fans out there! The first reviewer covers the music and performances well. I don't think the audio is as good as he does : Cicilia's guitar is a bit too distantly mic'd for my taste, and there is a considerable low-frequency rumble that fades between tracks--probably some sub-audible room ambiance. When the disc is played at a realistic level, I find the noise to be very distracting. However, the multi-channel sound allows several of the multi-tracked pieces to be heard with the proper spatial positions.
