This disc contains:
Bartok: Divertimento for strings Sz.118 Dvorak: serenade in D-minor op. 44 Prokofiev: Symhony #1 "Classical"
in that particular order
Bartok's divertimento fits the least to the other two compositions when considering common features of the tree works presented. Kioi Hall, where the recording has been made, presents enough space to be filled with much larger orchestra than Kioi Simfonietta really is.
So Far So Good: All Three pieces are taken live, but Japanese audience is so quiet that you wouldn't say it, as usually of course.
Richness and smoothness is overwhelming. Being a fan of the late romantic/early 20th century music I cannot avoid this disc. This one belongs to Golden era of the Exton multichannel mastering. Sigh
Highly recommended! Bravo EXTON engineers
