| It would not be possible for Mark Ermler and the RPO to put in a bad performance of these old favorites and far from that, these are charming, lively and beautifully phrased versions excellently recorded in a warm and flattering acoustic with the additional presence from the rear channels rounding out the sound in a natural and realistic way. The gap between the end of the Bizet and the start of the Grieg is far too short - have your finger ready to press pause to avoid a bit of a shock.
