| Fine disc here from the Universal Japan releases. The original recording was awarded a Gran Prix du Disque back in 1978 or so, and this was one of the original releases in the fine Philips 50 reissue series in 2001. Both symphonies here are performed quite well by the Boston Symphony, especially the Fifth. The sound quality here is excellent as well. One can only hope that more releases from the Colin Davis’s Boston cycle will find their way to sacd in the future.
