Seven stars for both!
I am the first to write a review here, which is a pity and I hope I can influence a few of you guys.
Buy this SACD for you and your friends, no way you could regret it!

This is another marvel of Sony SACDs, at least the quality of the stereo recording is a lot better here than on the Archiv "Concerto Veneziano" SACD.
The sound of the orchestra is a mixture of great reverberant acoustics and extreme sound definition. The placement of all the instruments is amazingly clear too.

The performance is beyond reproach. The conductor Andrea Marcon and the orchestra are absolutely perfect, and Mr Carmigmola is playing at a level of artistry I believe even our friend Antonio would admire. All the performers seem to be born to play Vivaldi, the style totally reveals the music and their performance is full of magic althrough the recording.

Last but not least, the works on this SACD are musically much richer than those on the other Vivaldi violin concerto SACDs available.

I would trade ten Podger recordings for one of these.
