Being Junior Brown’s number One Fan may prejudice this review, but here goes.

On the last track of the SACD, “Monkey Wrench Blues” you get to experience the “Real” Junior Brown as if you were standing 10 feet in front of the man. The clarity of his guitar licks are awesome!

The Multi-Channel sound is there, but not over powering on the rear speakers.

It’s the clarity of Junior’s guitar that makes this SaCD special.

The other great track are “Hill Country Hot Rod Man” were the horns are outstanding and then “Little Rivi-Airhead” where JR’s sense of humor comes through.

If you love the sound of real Guitar Men, don’t miss this “Down Home Chrome”

In view of the previous review by someone who is a self confessed artist lover I thought I would post a more realistic review of this sacd.
Firstly quality IS as stated SUPERB but I would suggest you get to know a little about these tracks before you purchase. Some of it is Hilarious (The lines The moneys all Gawn and the only green she left me is the front Lawn! ) and some Hilariously is so BAD. I wont mention the tongue in cheek serious sad song for his Siamese Cat!... The album is very varied in styles within the country genre including a Glen Miller type Jazzy number in the country manner and a final Blues track that is totally at odds with all the other odd simple styles.Entertainment Yes.Cringe at some of it Yes.but enjoyable and well played. Dave
