This is a great album, like Norah Jones this is easy excess Jazz. But in the case of Norah Jones I seemed to get bored by her album after 10 plays or so. Not with this one, this guy gives his own interpretation to some classics and also puts so new songs on there.
Sound quality is great as well.

This is a really great SACD, I think. The recording is modern analog, direct-transfered to DSD. The vocals really "pop" out of the mix, but there's a bit of sibilance, probably due to the singer keeping his mouth too close to the mike.
Cullum's piano-playing is excellent, and the backup band does a creditable job. A mix of covers, cross-over tunes, old standards, and originals keep this disc enjoyable. This is one that I've been able to listen to numerous times without getting tired of it.
Kudos to Universal for bringing this disc to market!

The second album by this young multi talented artist Jamie Cullum. Jamie experiments with a lot of influences like jazz, reggae, salsa, pop...and that make this album very changeable. This album won't bore the listener, i play it a few times in a week.
Yes, Jamies voice has more dynamic than the music. That's good to hear in the multichannel version.
But in general this sacd sounds good with excellent bass and treble proportions.
Performance and sonics; both 4 stars.

This is a great SACD album! Jamie performs great piano playing and the arrangements are real killers. When you listen to this album you can really feel that Jamie really performs on this album.
The songs are both originals and his own compositions. The originals, such as "Singin' In The Rain" and "That Old Devil Moon", are done with new and exciting arrangements and they feel fresh when you hear them. Jamie's compositions are also very good. Listen especially to "Twentysomething" and "All At Sea" where you will find both excellent piano playing but also nice and funny lyrics.
Both Jamie and the other musicians performs outstanding on this album. When you listen to the songs you realize that these guys have spent some time together and they know get these songs working.
The sound quality is very good. The sound is very clear, with a nicely defined bass and good dynamics. Basically it is how SACD should sound like.
I do recommend this album if you are intrested in vocal jazz with modern (some of them almost pop like) arrangments.
