Performance:   Sonics:
Exton OVGY 00007 MCh Brukner Symphony #9 Takashi Sahama/Osaka - I believe it was his last recording before his death. Well, its difficult to imagine more majestic music for someone's death! I waited for this disc for about two months and it was worth it. 9th is most favorite of Brukner and for the most parts the conductor was able to show its majesty. This performance is very good, sound is excellent. Highly recommended

Performance:   Sonics:
Although occasionally interesting for its insights into the orchestral fabric of this symphony, this performance does not live up against many CD alternatives – most particularly Giulini, Sinopoli and Wand. Multi-channel DSD cannot hide the fact that the orchestra is nowhere near the top league nor do the conductor’s tempos add to the coherence of the music.
