OK, Im going to say it right from the start, this is probably the BEST SOUNDING disc that I have heard BAR NONE! I don't care if it was recorded using 24 Bits/96 KHZ technology it just presents the most realistic presentation of "live music" in my room that I have ever experienced and, if you check my ten favourite picks you'll see I chose some VERY well recorded SACDs..

Now that there's a good chance you get the idea of what I think sonically I am vey pleased to add that the musicians and their playing are just fantastic. It may take you a bit to get your head around the concept of "Surf Music" being played in "Bluegrass" style ( I wondered at first) but you soon get caught up in it and marvel at the sheer musical experience taking place in front of you.

I do IMHO believe that if you give this a chance and listen to this SACD start to finish on any fairly decent system you will find it becomes a treasured part of your regular and specially DEMO rotation.

Yes, I do like this one :-)

I can see how many would feel the sonics on this SACD rate at the high end - there is no doubt this is a well recorded and fine sounding SACD. It is a great disc to show off your system. But..........unless you are a musician and can appreciate the technical prowess of the band, this music gets real boring real fast. Almost sounds like bluegrass muzak by track 4 or 5. (2 ch Stereo SACD only)

Sounds great....less filling....

This is folksy elevator music replaying of 60s and surf classics. The sonics are very good, but unless you likely quirky musicianship, look elsewhere.
