Performance:   Sonics:
This is one of my favorites. I bought this after seeing MG on tour with Bowie. The performance is purely studio but is indeed a pleasant surprise. There are layers upon layers upon layers of sound and detail. I have a high end 5.1 system (and it took a lot of convincing to get me to 5.1) and am upgrading to some new equipment. This is one must have disc for evaluating systems. One place I took it to played it back on a 40K system and the salesperson was so impressed that he said it was one to add to his set. This is clearly made for 5.1 and is an excellent example of what can be done with the new format.

Sonics:
Just got this and find that IMHO in 2 channel it is not too good. The sound is too "up front" and "in your face". I have to play it back at a very low level as when the vocal is accompanied by anything more than one instrument it forms a "solid wall" of sound with no depth. Maybe this one is meant for multi channel. I won't comment on performance or rate it 'cause I couldn't really "get into it" because of what I mentioned above.
