I will not compare this disc with any other performances and say that A is better than B. This particular disc has a charm -- several charms -- of its own, which one will simply never find elsewhere. Perhaps Zeus will add a new star category for Serendipity, this disc gets five.

A brief note on these two discs -- but maybe longer than a DeSelby.
The Beethoven Variations always give me joy -- which, all things considered, isn't the worst reason for buying yet another disc. So I did not hesitate to buy a different performance by different artists of pieces which I have on ... more |
