First, Blu Falcon’s review from April, 2011 is just awesome. How great would it have been to have Avalon as your very first multi-channel, surround-sound experience? This OOP disc is now going for crazy $ on the secondary market. At the time of this review, it’s the most that I’ve ever paid for a SACD; $125 US for a used copy in very good condition, and I’ve never regretted it.

The first Sinatra MOFI disc to be released on SACD, and is it ever magnificent. These 1957 master tapes must have been kept in an air-tight, hyperbolic chamber; simply pristine sonics.
