This is probably the best live album in existence. The Allman Brothers used to rehearse their live shows to make sure that they produced the best possible performance that they possible could.

My favorite Dire Straits album. Not a bad cut on it.
The transfer to SACD is really good. Bass is deep and powerful and the overall sound is warm. Great soundstaging and air around MK's guitar! |

One of my favorite EJ albums.
The transfers are really good, with tremendous dynamic range, deep lows, sparkling highs and a sweet midrange. The SHM SACD blows the previously released Deluxe Addition SACD away. There is no comparison. The previous version was overly bright and loud! |

Telegraph Road, Private Investigations and Love Over Gold are great cuts from this album (However, I prefer the live version of Telegrpah Road).
I have to agree with sonnysin, the vocals are bit laid back. But since this was transferred from the analog masters it is probably the way the original ... more |

John Lee hooker from the 60's originally issued by Impulse. Impulse were known for their recordings and this one does not stray. The music is pure JLH. The feeling that he imparts in his music can still be felt today. From the up tempo "Shake It Baby" to the slow heart felt blues of "Country Boy" ... more |
