I cannot believe that there has not been an in-depth review of this title. In a word, this release is OUTSTANDING! Holy Cole has a real knack at re-interpreting the songs of other composers and making them her own! In this case it is a showcase of songs by Tom Waits presented on this album.

This album was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, probably the greatest jazz recording engineer ever! This album, recorded in 1965, is one of my favourite male jazz vocals.
