This is one that I waited with baited breath for. I'd grown up with a well used US vinyl that I bought in the late '70's but had wanted to hear the original UK version. Frankly I'm a bit dissapointed with this one. Narrowed stereo images, noise reduction in spots and digital filtering of the low end on some tracks. Right now I'm trying to keep an eye out for a mid '80's German or Japanese "Aftermath" on London (Not to be confused with the US Abkco) as the sonics ... more |

This is the best I have heard this album sound in the digital medium thus far. I think the only thing that would beat it is an original pressing UK Decca. I myself don't mind the hiss. In fact I rather it be there because it would sound far worse with NR applied to it, making the performance sound ... more |

This was the first of the Stones SACD's I picked up and I was fairly impressed by the sonics right off the bat. I was, however, dissapointed that the original Dave Hassenger (RCA studios, Hollywood) mix wasn't used for the stereo "Satisfaction". A late '70's remix was used instead. Now it doesn't ... more |
