The piano placement is very forward and almost overwhelms the orchestra. The performance is good but not great. There is a spcious soundfield in the front channels with ambience in the rears giving it a very open sound. The piano is a little too forward for my tastes but the sonics are ... more |

A classic performance with 1976 sound. I thought the sonics were better than the previous reviewers. I listened with low expectations but was pleasently surprised. Better sonics than the CD.

Concord Records recorded most of their artists on multiple tracks. Now they've been remixed and released for the first time in a multichannel format. The results are astounding. If the Rosemary Clooney track doesn't sell you on multichannel-nothing will. I bought 5 Concord discs based on this disc. ... more |

Tommy-I can hear you! Great performance. The Who never sounded better. No hiss, no pops, no ticks. The sound is unbelievable. The mix is fun and very detailed. The Ultimate Tommy

This is my fourth purchase of Framton Comes Alive! The first one was on 8 track (I'm dating my self, the second on cassette, the third on CD and now SACD. When compared to other SACDs thre is way to much reverb in the multichannel mix. I feel like I'm listening in a tin can. Very ... more |
