Yup, the other positive reviewers are right.
If he wanted to, Willie could go the way of Tony Bennett and Louis Armstrong, couldn't he?
The best thing that a previous reviewer wrote concerned Willie's vocals hanging out in space, in front of the speakers. Darn right!

I am kind of astounded that nobody has reviewed this release yet. This album's reputation speaks for itself. If you haven't heard it, then believe what you read, ladies and gentlemen.

Okay, I own a WHOLE BUNCH of SACDs... MoFi, Analogue Prod., Sony, SHM-SACDs, the whole nine yards.
Of the mono SACDs that I own, this one gets the most "airtime." The music is old, but still SO fun! On SACD, the sax comes through like you wouldn't believe!

This one is a RIDICULOUSLY good record mastered by a FANTASTICALLY capable company and offered in THE BEST sound available. IMHO, you're nuts if you don't buy this before it's OOP.
Oh, and for those of you wanting to know about separation of instruments, etc... it's in mono. All the better for it, ... more |
