I had not heard of Rebecca Pidgeon or heard her voice before this disc. Now I will likely be forever spoiled by the SACD format. She and this disc are great. Brubeck is one of the Gods of Jazz. And there are several outstanding SACD recordings to prove it. This is not one of them. Mono recordings on an SACD are like tennis shoes on a squid. Wow! John Williams is a musical treasure who I hold in high regard. In terms of technical skill he's as good as (if not better than) Parkening and Segovia.
