Hours of Mumien Schieben for the German in-laws!

I've listened to this disc several times now, in both stereo and multichannel. I've had the LP box set since it came out last year, and did a comparison to that as well. I also have the GAS version of the CD, and did a quick comparison to that.

I just got the disc a few days ago, and have listened to it enough to gain an impression, but this isn't a "serious" review. What a waste of money this turned out to be! I'm a closet metal fan, so I had to get this disc. After Forever has been hyped quite a bit in Europe, and they count several bands I like as influence. Unfortunately, the influence didn't have as much of an effect as could be hoped.

Some fun stuff!
If anyone was hoping that a DSD transfer would clean up old, distorted, awful recordings, they'll be sorely disappointed. What does come out is the intensity, the rawness, and the emotion.
