Right from the first note it was apparant that this is something special.
The French harpsichord - it is from the Von Nagel Workshop in Paris 1985, after N. & F. Blanchet, Paris, 1730 - sounds divine. It is obviously a lovely instrument and the recording captures it to great effect.

This disc contains quite a variety!
Right from the start it is a veritable treat. The Concerto in G minor for oboe and orchestra is lively and features a brilliant performance from oboe player Alfredo Bernardini.

I didn't think it would be possible to improve on the previous two volumes of Harpsichord Gems, but it has been done.
