This classic session sounds wonderful on the multi-channel SACD. The depth and separation are wonderful. There is greater clarity in the horns. Paul Chambers' bass sounds fantastic. I can hear things on this SACD that I never noticed on the late 90s Sony version of the CD or the gold CD. The stereo ... more |

As with the SACD version of "Sunday at the Village Vanguard" this version of "Waltz for Debby" is the best this session has ever sounded in a digital format (only the 2 LP 45RPM version sounds better IMO). The CD layer on this SACD is also a big improvement over the regular CD and XRCD versions. |

This is the best sounding this classic recording has ever sounded (except for the 2 LP 45RPM version that Analogue Productions has out now).
