a great set! 3 sacds with 2 suites on each, all information u need about the cello suites, and a wonderful cover. the playing is great, lipkind is not for nothung the wonderkind of the cello. u can hear the cello suites as u never heard them before, with absolute passion and deep emotionality. the ... more |

unlike the former raters, i dont think this sacd is that bad. the performance is very well done, u get a moving mimi with gheorghiu (in her great days - now she isnt that good anymore), a charming alagna as alfredo and the other cast is absolutely of highest order (keenlyside, d'arcangelo,...). but ... more |

a triumph! fröst does it again. on this sacd fröst raises above himself, togehter with the tapiola sinfonietta fröst plays great works from weber for clarinet and orchestra.

this is a real disappointment. i thought a sacd from sony is a highlight considering the great artistic and sound quality of former releases as the tchaikovsky, bell, thomas release.
first this sacd is recorded in 24/96 and not in DSD.
second the sound in MC comes almost only from the right ... more |
