This is such a wonderful disk. I own all the Living Presence and Living Stereo RB-CD's that came out in the 90's and this was and still is 1 of the best. Beautifully played and tonally well balanced. If you like the Dvorak Concerto you will love this SA-CD. Sound opened up even more on this release ... more

Great recording in both performance and sound. Interesting to notice, that both performances of the Pictures, the solo piano as well as the orchestra version are precisely 11.33 mins. This said doesn't give a clue how much the two performances differ. The orchestral version is played very well, ... more

Soundwise a very nice recording indeed. But who would expect else from this label ? They just knew how to balance the sound and to catch the breathtaking "reality" of an entire orchestra with just 2/3 mics. The performance is not what I had expected after reading the above reviews some days ago. ... more
