Kunzel seems to be interested in the music, albeit a bit four-square, but interested, for a change. Terrific sound. Splendid brass players. Marvelous Nelson Riddle. This is such a frustrating release. I was hoping for a great SACD demo disc, showing off this fine orchestra with Telarc’s mostly good sound.
