As an avid Train fan, I have heard the CD and DVD mixes of all their material. The sacd multichannel mix of this album is an improvement on the cd version, however, the mixing leaves a lot to be desired. I disagree with mr chricmore. STING doesn't do Police songs anymore. He has matured and the music he is producing is more to the 30-40's genre and not the thrashy Police songs (not that they weren't good for their time). I have heard the cd version of this album and the sacd multichannel mix is a marked improvement on this. I can not understand why live cd's/dvd's etc use the rear speakers to emulate the crowd noise in the soundtrack. we know it is live we don't want to hear the crowd, most normal people want to ... more |
