I agree with everyone on the sonics of this album. This is a great demo SACD. I did not pay much attention to the whole theme but just like the music by itself. This is the first SACD I listened to after I bought my SACD system. My son bought it for himself. I guess I was lucky to play probably one of the best multichannel demo SACD's you can buy. The cool thing about SACD is it gives you a reason to buy CDs that you normally would not buy just to experience the sound only SACD can deliver. This is one of those SACD's. I used to like Steely Dan when I was a kid but never bought any of their CD's or LP's. This SACD has superior sound and ranks ... more |

I have to agree with TonyMN, sonically this SACD is pretty shabby. Every cut sounds live even though only two of them are. The extended feedback of the guitar on the one song (sorry for not knowing the name) is obnoxious and I'm a guitar player who likes feedback. Janis's voice just does not stick ... more |

This is definitely one of my favorite SACD's and I am not really a Who fan. Pete Townsend must have loved remixing this in Super Audio. I enjoy starting at Pinball Wizard and listening to the end. The first part of the album gets a tad boring. Pinball Wizard sounds amazing. The second CD is also fun ... more |
