I was a bit sceptical to purchase such an old recording at this rather high price but I wanted "Le tombeau de Couperin". What a pleasant surprise! There is definitely a bit of the genius of Mozart, Beethoven and Hadyn left in these inspired and creative works, superbly interpreted and recorded. I have not heard this SACD but I fairly know the regular CD which is a true jewel. It is the shortest (37 minutes) and certainly the most energic version of Brahm's fourth symphony. This is simply one of the best SACD I ever heard (I use it for demonstrating the vertues of SACD). The musician's performance is absolutely awesome and the engineers have done an incredible work. This is a fair record with an attracting set of Gershwin famoust's pieces. I found the Concerto in F particularly well interpreted and with a better sound than in the "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An american in Paris".
