A must! The performances on this disc have been lauded ever since they were first issued back in the 1960's. The sound is unbelievably better than some of the early issues. Very fine sound even on an absolute scale IMO.

An excellent performance of the Eroica--and the overtures, as well. I originally bought this one on Epic mono, when I was a kid. Since then there have been other contenders for my favorite.

A Must! I was pleasantly surprised by this disc which I purchased without knowing anything about the performances. Superb playing of these warhorses. And the sound is gorgeous for this example of the Szell oeurvre. The Grieg and Bizet were recorded in '66; the Mussorgsky Pictures in '63
