Never listened to Beck before, and I didn't like his style (at least on this disk), it's way too mellow and down for my taste - and hey, I'm a very long time Pink Floyd fan!

Note, The correct title for this disc is, Black Rose: A Rock Legend. I have been a big Thin Lizzy fan and this disc is worthy of anybody's rock music collection.

When the Cluytens Beethoven cycle was released on individual LPs in the '60s these overtures were included as fillers on some of the LPs. This SACD is absolutely a jewel. The interesting program contains various works which based on folk songs. The all approaches are fresh and playful: the Ostroborthnian Chamber Orchestra has done an impressive recording with its chief conductor Juha Kangas.
